I worked with Lauren Andrews, a Vancouver-based elite marathon runner and coach, to develop and design the branding and web presence for her new business, Polaris Athletics. With her guidance and notes, I created a logo set and branding guidelines inspired by natural colours and bold imagery. Lauren is an outdoors enthusiast and wanted to position her brand as one connected to the environment and born out of her experiences running and living in Western Canada.

I also built and designed the Polaris Athletics website using Wordpress and the Astra theme. Incorporating our branding elements and a clean, sharp aesthetic, the website clearly communicates Polaris' mission and place in its industry. We used photographs from Lauren's collection to highlight the natural beauty best viewed from a running path. At only five pages, the site is concise and includes a clear user journey. While the Wordpress theme included many appropriate out-of-box elements, I wrote custom HTML and CSS to fine tune the display for our use and make it easy for Lauren to continue updating the site on her own.
